Online Homeopathy Class

I highly recommend this online homeopathy class. I took it over 3 years ago, and it changed our lives forever. We are now able to use homeopathy for all acutes and have saved ourselves from using antibiotics, steroids, and other drugs to treat common illnesses like strep, colds, flu, GI bugs, etc. We use the help of a trained homeopath for our chronic issues, and have seen incredible healing!

All of the information is sent by email one day a week, and you can read it at your own pace. Allow 2-3 hours a week maximum for reviewing and studying information. The course lasts about 4 months, and costs only $65! The best investment you can make for the health of your family, in my opinion.

The next class starts this week on April 4, 2013, but she offers classes every few weeks, and you can start after the class has already begun. She will send you all the emails you may have missed. Click here for more information.

Random Acts of Kindness-Week 7

Some days things just don’t go as planned. I find that those are the tests in life, and how you respond to them is the real purpose of your day, not the things you have planned and if they were accomplished.

The other day I was out and about, and tried to start my car, and it wouldn’t. I had a child in the car, and luckily we were somewhere that I had access to people at work and was able to get my car jumped quickly. I was hoping for just a dead battery, and drove to an auto store for a battery test. It was diagnosed, and yes, I needed a new battery.

I had other plans for my afternoon, hadn’t planned on dropping over $100 on a tire, my 3 year old was in tow, and it was supposed to be his nap time, but I stayed positive, and thought, “Oh well! I wonder what this detour has in store for us!”

I was on the phone with my husband while waiting for my battery to be changed, and I found a five dollar bill on the floor. I picked it up, and looked around as if I would find its owner. There was no one around, but I felt funny keeping it. I mentioned it to my husband, and he immediately said, “Find someone to bless with it! Great idea!

We left the store and headed for Whole Foods since we were now on that side of town, and while checking out I had an interesting conversation with the cashier. He seemed very down, and I was surprised at how much he revealed to a stranger in about three minutes. He had a very negative outlook on, well, everything.

I knew I couldn’t give a gift to an employee, but I wanted to somehow show him that there was good in the world. A lady came in line behind me with some carry-out lunch, and I handed him my $5 and said, “Will you please use this on her order?” He smiled, looked me in the eye, and said, “Absolutely.”

Vaccines, Epidemics, and Homeopathy

I was in a waiting room the other day and the show, “The Doctors” was on the television. I haven’t seen too much of this program, but I happened to walk in during a panel discussion on vaccines. They were speaking with a mother who was concerned about her child getting vaccines. Each one of the four doctors spoke on why vaccines are important, how safe they are, and that if they are given to pregnant women, which is the gold standard, they MUST be safe for everyone. They went on to share that vaccines don’t cause autism, and basically that people who are against vaccines are spreading lies and confusion.

I know that vaccines are a VERY touchy subject. My children were fully vaccinated until my youngest was six months old. I am not one who stopped vaccinating out of fear of autism. I did not stop vaccinating because I think my kids have herd immunity and will be safe from disease. I stopped vaccinating because I learned for myself how dangerous these vaccines are for our delicate systems. I saw first hand in my own children subtle changes that occurred directly following vaccines. The pediatrician waved it off as unrelated to vaccines, but that unsettled feeling I felt about vaccinating kept growing and at that point I decided to not just listen to what doctors are saying, but to do the research for myself.

A picture taken by a local newspaper of my son, age 2, getting the last vaccine he ever had. He blacked out and fell down a flight of stairs later that afternoon. We were told this was among the "normal" side effects following the H1N1 vaccine.

I found out for myself that millions of dollars have been paid out in vaccine injuries (including cases of autism), the number of deaths from vaccines sometimes out number the deaths from the illness the vaccine prevents, that SIDS occurs frequently after immunization, that heavy metal toxicity can occur and cause brain changes seen in ADHD and autism and other spectrum disorders. Most importantly, I learned that our bodies were made to fight illnesses, and for those dangerous diseases, homeopathy can stop them in their tracks and reverse progression.

I  DO NOT think it is wise to just stop vaccinating and hope our kids don’t get a disease, because that is unsettling, too. I know that for me, God introduced the concept of vaccine injury and the concept of homeopathy to me at the same time, and my view of western medicine has forever changed.  I feel completely comfortable with my decision to not vaccinate, because if my children get a disease, we are able to treat them homeopathically.

I know all of this might sound crazy to some of you who vaccinate, and have no clue what homeopathy is. Five years ago I was you. I would have thought you were off your rocker, and a complete nutjob. Since then, I have researched beyond belief, and have seen for myself the amazing healing that homeopathy can do, when it is used correctly and classically.

You can read more about how my family has used homeopathy to cure strep without antibiotics (and no, we didn’t just let it run its course, the homeopathy cured it within about 12 hours), how I helped a friend with a child with recurrent croup no longer end up in the ER with steroids, how allergic reaction and anaphylaxis can be stopped in its tracks without an epi-pen, and much more.

Back to vaccines… I know that all the doctors I have spoken with or seen on programs like The Doctors are giving their honest, professional opinions. I know they were trained in this fashion. I do not hold them at fault for that. I do wish that doctors would be open to forms of healing that are outside of what they learned in medical school. I wish they would learn to question what they learned in medical school, and see the trend of chronic illnesses and autism on the rise and say “something isn’t working.” I wish there wasn’t such hostility for other forms of healing that have been around longer and are shown to be more effective than drugs and vaccines. I believe we should be united for the common goal of real health and healing!

If doctors did some research on homeopathy, they would see that it has been around much longer than our current system of medicine, has a much higher rate of success and real healing than pharmaceutical drugs, and has amazing success rates in cases of epidemics.

Some stats on past epidemics: In the epidemic flu of 1918 in Dayton, OH, the mortality rate of those using conventional medicine was 28.2%, and only 1.05% in those that used homeopathy. In the cholera outbreak in Cincinnati, OH in 1849, homeopath Joseph Pulte, who had his house pelted with eggs because people were outraged a homeopath was living there, ended up having people lined up outside his door for treatment because he lost not one patient during the epidemic. In cases of Yellow Fever in 1878 in New Orleans, 50% of people died using conventional treatment, while only 5.06% of the 1,945 cases treated homeopathically ended in death.

I apologize for going all over the place on this post.  But, now that I know how the body really responds to the assaults of antibiotics, steroids, vaccine toxins, and other drugs, and now that I know how homeopathy can provide complete healing and not just a suppression of symptoms, I want to shout from the rooftops to anyone who will hear, that there really IS another option available than drugs, and that we don’t need to settle for the chronic illness we see today, and decreasing life expectancy.

There is a lot of misinformation out there about homeopathy, (youtube videos of people trying to OD on homeopathic medicines and such) which is why you need to know how to use homeopathy correctly for it to work. If you have no symptoms of a disease you are treating, a remedy will do nothing. Another reason why they are so safe! There is a book called The Complete Practitioner’s manual of Homeoprophylaxis: A Practical Handbook of Homeopathic Immunisation which talks about how homeopathy can be used to prevent disease much like immunizations.

If you want to know more about homeopathy, PLEASE, sign up for Sheri Nakken’s Intro to Homeopathy class. I don’t know of one person who has taken it that it hasn’t changed the way they think about medicine and how our bodies work. It is very inexpensive, is done completely by emails that you read on your own time, and the benefits will truly change your life! She also offers a class on Vaccine Dangers. I would LOVE for a pediatrician to take either of these classes, and hear what they have to say about them. They go against a lot of what we have been taught about medicine, but it makes so much sense, and I know from experience that homeopathy really works!

Make your own Soft Scrub

I found a very easy recipe for Soft Scrub, and decided to give it a whirl.

  • 3/4 Cup Baking Soda
  • 2 tbsp Sal Suds
  • 2 tbsp Water
Combine well with a spoon in a left over plastic tub or jar, and apply to your sinks, counter tops, or shower. I loved that this had a gritty texture and worked nicely as an abrasive to clean the gunk that hangs out in the tub.
The only down side to this Soft Scrub is that it didn’t seem to do much for stains. I have a white kitchen sink that gets stains in it regularly. I tried this on it, and while it cleaned the sink well, some of the stains remained.

Random Act of Kindness- Week 6

I know there are many thoughts out there about Facebook, both positive and negative. I personally use Facebook as a way to add something positive to a very negative world. Our world has become a very individual-centric place, where what the self wants, the self gets, at no expense to others and their feelings. I choose to use Facebook as a way to reach out to those I see hurting, either by their pictures or posts. I use it to compliment someone who I know is having a rough time. I use it to build up others, not to tear down or badmouth people or ideas I do not agree with.

This week I challenged myself to pick a Facebook friend at random, and send them a private message that did nothing but express a positive message. I randomly selected someone, sent them a message, and we had a nice exchange. It was someone I hadn’t spoken with in several years, and it was wonderful to see that my positive comments led to a positive response and I felt much joy and I’m sure the other person did as well.

I didn’t do anything that cost any money, or get out of my comfort zone too far, but I was able to spread some joy from my little piece of the world. I love random acts of kindness because they really do get the focus off of yourself and put it on others. In the spiritual realm, every act that you do comes back to you, and I know the joy I received was from the seed I had sewn by putting myself out there to send a message to someone I hadn’t spoken with in a long time.

Even if you are not on Facebook, you can write an email, or that thing people used to do, mail a letter, to someone you haven’t spoken with in a long time. You will brighten someone’s day, I promise! :)

If you choose to do this, or any other random act, please leave a message so we can encourage others!

Paleo Lunch Meat Wraps

This is a super easy lunch or snack that is kid approved!

Simply take the lunch meat of your choice, top with some guacamole and a slice of pepper, and roll up! I have one child that does not enjoy peppers, but anything covered in guacamole will be gobbled up with no qualms! He loved these wraps.

Random Acts of Kindness-Week 5

I was out and about the other day grabbing a sandwich for my mom, and pulled into a drive-through and decided to pay for the person behind me. A car pulled up and I noticed that it was a very expensive car. My first thought was, “They certainly don’t need me to buy their sandwich!” I quickly reminded myself that it isn’t about the fact that they can afford their own sandwich, it is that everyone can benefit from kindness.

I noticed that there was a preteen boy in the passenger seat, and hoped that this random act of kindness would spur a conversation between the two of them as to why someone would do something nice for them without even knowing them. Perhaps it will encourage them both to pass along the kindness!

Olivado Review

I have been looking for new and exciting sources of quality fats to add to my dishes, and I came across Olivado brand oils.

Olivado makes several varieties including Basil Infused, Chili and Bell Pepper Infused, Lemon Infused, Rosemary Infused, Omega Plus Blend, and Avocado Zest. I really like the Lemon Infused, and the kids enjoy it poured over their cooked veggies with a dash of salt. The Chili and Bell Pepper Infused is good, but HOT!!! A little goes a very long way. Since I usually douse my foods with oils, this burned my face off! I learned to use olive oil liberally and a couple dashes of this variety.

I haven’t found the Rosemary or Basil in the store, but they sound fantastic. I may have to order online… :) I have found 3 varieties at Whole Foods, and Fresh Market carries them, as well as Meijer if you are in the midwest. They are about $12.99 a bottle in the store, but Amazon runs deals now and then, or you can add them to your order to get free shipping over $25. The Avocado oil is $11.99 on Amazon right now.

If you buy in store, Click here for a $1.00 off coupon!
