Paleo Meal Monday: Refreshing Citrus Water

I saw a great article about how to make your own flavored water. This means no sugar, no additives, no other yuck, just pure, refreshing flavored water!

Citrus Water

adapted from The Yummy Life

  • 1 clementine
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 lime
  • ice

Gather: fruit, a large clean jar with lid (I used an old applesauce jar), a muddler (or use the back of a large spoon), and your favorite helper.

Peel fruit and put in the bottom of the jar. Have helper press the fruit down with the muddler to extract the juices, but do not pulverize the fruit. Add ice and cover with water. Store in refrigerator for 2-3 hours and serve. The flavors intensify dramatically with time. The next day I had to water it down more because it was very strong!

You can also add herbs or change up the fruits. I would like to try raspberry/lime next!

  1. This looks awesome. I love to make “fruity” water, but haven’t tried an all citrus version like this. Very tasty!
